Communicating with Impact: How to Maximize your Communication Effectiveness

Your personality type has a direct affect on your communication style. And your communication style directly influences how well your message is received by the prospects, clients and business associates you interact with on a daily basis. It is sobering to realize that the nuances of your communication style can be equally as affective in engaging and disengaging the people you speak with. The outcome is based on the compatibility of your styles.

Our partnership with TTI Performance Systems makes available a valuable Web-based assessment tool that characterizes the test takers personality and communication tendencies into one of four widely acknowledged types – Dominant, Influencing, Steadiness and Conscientious.

Understanding your own personality type and communication style gives you insight. Recognizing the personality type and communication of others gives you an advantage, and adapting your communication style to increase the compatibility of your communication significantly increases your ability to fully connect, be heard and deliver a message with more effectiveness and greater impact.

Participants of this session will benefit from taking the DISC personality assessment. The DISC personality and communication assessment has been used by a multitude of small, medium and Fortune 500 firms to provide sales professionals with valuable insights into behavior, perception and direct more efficient communication for success in management and sales related roles.

Results You Can Expect…

  • Gain valuable insights in recognizing and adapting communication styles as means of enhancing your ability to deliver a message with more effectiveness and greater impact.

Presenter: Cathryn McGill, A3, LLC
Topic: Survival of the Fittest: A Healthy Use of Marketing Dollars in the Consumer-Driven Healthcare Industry

The workshop will address the four key principles for implementing sound marketing strategies and tactics that will maximize the use marketing dollars for healthcare organizations. The four principles are:

  1. Marketing Must be Strategic
Marketing investments must map to the business strategy of an organization. Strategy always comes before tactics. Focus on “what” before you talk about “how”.
  2. Marketing Should be Pain Point Driven
What is your client’s key issue? More affordable healthcare, easier access, technological innovations, etc.? How do you find the pain point marketing strategies for your organization?
  3. Marketing Should Be Campaign Driven
Is your marketing all over the place in terms of timing? Or do you use a variety of tactics that create a cumulative customer impression about your product or service?
  4. Marketing Must be "Return-on-Investment Focused"
What is your conversion rate? How much of your investment has resulted in new business and how do you keep track of the return on your marketing investment. What marketing metrics do you use?

Today’s consumers are becoming increasingly more attentive and educated about what is available in the healthcare arena. As consumers get more informed about their health and healthcare options, effective marketing will become even more important to the success and sustainability of your organization.
